The Colorado Residential Energy Upgrade (RENU) Loan is a statewide residential loan program sponsored by the Colorado Clean Energy Fund in partnership with Colorado-based credit unions. It makes home energy upgrades easy and affordable by offering low-cost, long-term financing for energy efficiency and renewable energy improvements.

Power Zone Equipment was founded in 2001 by Don and Trevor Toews, and is still a local, family owned company. SolarSet was started in 2020 and utilizes the same facility, engineering staff, manufacturing capabilities, etc. as Power Zone.
For years, our team at Power Zone has focused on manufacturing turn-key pumping systems for industries like Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, Mining & Power Generation. We wanted to bring our skill set into the solar industry, but being experts at manufacturing, and not on-site construction, we wondered where we fit it in. In 2020, we found our niche. Solar can be built in the same way as pumping equipment, and many of the same advantages apply. Assembled in the controlled environment of an indoor manufacturing facility, efficiency, predictability and quality of the product can all be increased considerably.
